Reading a shared story

A shared-story link opens a reader without requiring an account. Treat the link as access to the story: someone who receives it may be able to read its content. Share only with intended recipients and use available revocation controls when access should end.

Reading a link does not by itself enroll a family in an organization or grant an editing subscription. Explain the next step explicitly if the family needs to participate more broadly.

A family using its own plan

Families can use their own Free, Silver, or Gold plan. Silver is $29.99 per year for one child profile and unlimited stories and boards; Gold is $49.99 per year for up to six child profiles. Check the personal pricing page for full monthly and annual options.

An unsponsored organization connection does not turn a family's personal subscription into an organization-paid seat. Keep the membership invitation and the explanation of who pays clear.

Organization-sponsored family access

A school or practice can cover sponsored Gold family access at $23.88 per family per year. It is a separate offering from the regular Silver subscription. Count sponsored families separately from staff when preparing an organization quote.

Before inviting families, explain what access the sponsorship provides, who administers it, and how the family will be told if that arrangement changes. Confirm the applicable continuity and offboarding terms with the team.

Check the recipient's experience

Use a fictional resource and a test recipient to walk through the invitation. Confirm the right story is visible, the device works as expected, and the recipient understands whom to contact. Repeat this check when changing the sharing method or introducing a new group.
